This is a process of creating a fictional city and an experiment to examine the process of spaces created in ones head, while reading a text.

We are starting at a gangway of the 12 Apostel cellar, which had outgoing passages that were bricked up.

We want to imagine an underground space behind this blocked entrance, that is independent from time and built up by imagination, associations and memories.

One is writing a Text in which this space is imagined and described, thriugh a narrative story, in the form of a poem.
The other one is drawing the pictures that her mind creates while she is reading it, made by her associations, imagination and experiences. Through visualising this space in detail together, we want to find out more about how the city is being constructed in her head.

At the same time, we ask several people to make visualisations of the spaces that are created in their minds by the same text. We ask them to do drawings based on the text.

We collect their contributions to be able to compare them and research about how different individuals translate text to space.
